The Battle Mountain High School boys golf team traveled to Elko this past Thursday for the second tournament of the season.
The Longhorns improved by 56 strokes from the first week to shoot 401 and finish third at Ruby View Golf Course,
Max Villanueva finished fifth overall with a season-best round of 87, while Brice Domagala placed 10th with a round of of 96. Colton Mills carded a 98 and Dalton Shake finished with a 120.
“The Longhorns have a very solid team this year,” said the coach. “All the players continue to improve and each week it seems we have another player stepping up to challenge for the team score.”
Battle Mountain will host its tournament on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Mountain View Golf Course.
