Battle Mountain’s Nevaeh Serna qualifies for the Far Western Swimming Championships after competing in the 2022 Pacific Swimming SC Junior Olympics this past weekend in Santa Clara, Calif.
Serna competes in the 10 and under division and finished ninth in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1 minute, 15.96 seconds. She weas eighth in the prelim race in the event at 1:14.53.
Serna placed 10th in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:24.80, a 3.29-second improvement. She also finished 10th in the prelim race at 2:24.56.
