The Battle Mountain High School girls basketball team was well rewarded for its trip to the state tournament with postseason awards.
The Lady Longhorns’ Zarina Ceja, Christina Holley and Brynnlee Freeman were named to the Northern 2A all-league, first team.
In addition, Holley and Freeman were chose for the 2A all-state, first team. Ceja was named to the all-state, second team.
Kaybrie Nield was named to the Northern 2A all-league, second team.
Ceja averaged more than eight points a game to lead the Lady Longhorns this season.
Holley was the leading rebounder for Battle Mountain at nearly six rebounds a game to go with 6.4 points a game.
Freeman averaged 6.6 points a game and 4.0 rebounds. Nield scored 5.8 points a game to go with 5.5 rebounds.
Battle Mountain finished the season at 18-7 and finished second in the Northern 2A Regional Tournament to Incline.
The Lady Longhorns advanced to the state championships in Reno but lost to Lincoln County in the opening round.
