Union Township Justice Court
On Feb. 17, pursuant to negotiation the charge against Menno L. Derijk Sr. for possession of a controlled substance was dismissed.
On Feb. 17, Oscar David Galarza pleaded guilty to driving under the influence – first offense. The court ruled as follows: sentenced to 30 days jail with 28 days stayed for period of one year and was given credit for two days jail time served. Fine of $400 + $125AA + $60 forensic fee. Defendant was credited $300 for two days jail time served. DUI school and Victim Impact Panel was also ordered. Pursuant to negotiation the charge of driving while license is cancelled/suspended/revoked was dismissed.
In a separate case, Oscar David Galarza pleaded guilty to an amended charge of operating vehicle without a driver’s license. The court ruled as follows: $25 + $50AA was suspended for a period of one year with the condition on time payments on current payment plan. The additional charge of resisting public officer was dismissed.
On Feb. 22, pursuant to negotiation the D.A. dismissed the charges against Bryan Farpella of basic speeding violation 21-30 MPH over posted limit and failure to appear after admission to bail or release without bail for misdemeanor crime.
On Feb. 22, pursuant to negotiation the charge against Kylie Winter for basic speeding violation 11-20 MPH over posted limit was reduced to $300 with the charge remaining the same and the charge of operate vehicle with expired registration or plates was dismissed due to compliance.
On Feb. 22, pursuant to negotiation the chare against Madeline Milward for basic speeding violation 1-10 MPH over posted limit was reducted to $100 with the charge remaining the same and the charge of drive without valid driver’s license was dismissed due to compliance.
On Feb. 22, Marnie Kathleen Brewer pleaded guilty to petit larceny. The court ruled as follows: defendant was fined $1,000 + $140AA, $740 was suspended on the condition that there are no like violations for a period of two years.
On Feb. 23, Juan Carlos Aguilar pleaded no contest to reckless driving, driving while license cancelled, revoked or suspended and operation a motor vehicle without proof of insurance. The cour ruled as follows: total fines and fees to be reduced to $2,000 with $400 to be credited for time served.
