Twila Lee Howard passed away on February 21, 2022, at the age of 68 in Reno, Nevada. She was born on June 2, 1953, in Hawthorne, NV to Dorothy (Heckman) and Ralph Smith.
Twila married Kenneth O. Howard in July of 1971, they were together for many years until Kenneth’s passing. The two shared many years and memories together as well as two children, Kenneth O. Howard II and Richard R “Ricky” Howard. They moved to Winnemucca from Yerington, NV in 1989.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved gardening especially roses, they were her favorite. She loved animals and photography and enjoyed family time and being outdoors with her family.
Twila is survived by her son, Kenneth O. Howard II and grandson, Jesse J. Howard and great-grandson, Rhettson Howard. Her siblings, George J. Smith, Ralph F. Smith, Donald L. Smith, and G Jeanne Howard, her nieces and nephews, Michael S. Howard, and Buffi J Krug plus many other nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth O. Howard, her son, Richard R. “Ricky” Howard, her parents, Dorothy Heckman Smith and Ralph Smith, and her siblings, Robert (Danny) Smith and Betty L. Hughes.
A Celebration of Life Potluck will be held on March 5, 2022, from 12pm – 5 pm at the Frontier Village, 1099 W Winnemucca Blvd, Winnemucca, NV. Come celebrate Twila’s Life.
