Albisu sought for questioning in murder and attempted murder case

WINNEMUCCA — A Humboldt County man with a long criminal record is being sought in connection with a murder and attempted murder on June 18 in Winnemucca. According to police officials, on June 18, 2022 at approximately 8:50 pm, officers from The Winnemucca Police Department responded to a shots fired call at Raven’s Bar located at 1062 Grass Valley Road. 


On arrival, officers found two victims of gun shots. Both victims were treated by Humboldt General Hospital Emergency Medical Services. The male victim, Dylan James Hobbs, 21, of Winnemucca, sustained a gunshot wound to the hand and was transported for further treatment. The female victim, Linda Walker Albisu, 61, of Winnemucca succumbed to injuries sustained and was pronounced deceased on scene.


Officers quickly identified the suspect from witness and victim statements as Ty Victor Albisu. An attempt to locate notification was sent out and personnel from Winnemucca Police Department, Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, Nevada State Police, Nevada Division of Investigations, and Bureau of Indian Affairs searched throughout the night to try to locate the suspect.


Nevada Division of Investigation-Major Crimes was called into head up the investigation with assistance from Winnemucca Police Department Detectives and The Washoe County Sheriff’s Officer Forensic Investigation Section was called into collect and process evidence. 


As of press time Monday, June 20, an arrest hadn’t yet been made and Albisu’s whereabouts were unclear to those outside of law enforcement.
