Judy was born and raised in Winnemucca. She was a graduate of Winnemucca high school (1964).
She graduated from Linn Benton Community College in Oregon in 1978 with her RN in nursing.
She worked for many years as a registered nurse in both Northern and Southern Nevada.
In her early career she worked was a pediatric oncology and hospice nurse in Southern Nevada.
She moved back to Winnemucca in the late 1980s and worked as an RN at both Humboldt General hospital in Winnemucca and Pershing General hospital in Lovelock.
She was very proud of her long nursing career as was her family.
Judy wrote poetry and loved to sing. She had a beautiful singing voice and was regularly asked to sing/perform at different functions around Winnemucca. She was also an avid seamstress and loved to read.
She is survived by her daughter Richae Lyn Marez of Albany Oregon, her granddaughter Meghan Marez and her grandson Christopher Marez both from Las Vegas and her brother Glenn Jones from Winnemucca.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Erma Jones, her older brother Donald Jones and her most precious son, David Aaron Bush.
At Judy’s request there will be no service. Please remember her in your thoughts. She had a giant heart and a loving soul. She will forever be missed.
In lieu of flowers please make a monitory donation to a local Winnemucca charity in Judy’s name.
