People tend to procrastinate. That may be the case with the Mustang fun run. When Mike Brooks last checked about ten people had registered.
“They can register up to the day of the race but it’s easier if it’s earlier,” he said. “Registering early helps us plan and get all the necessary items.”
The 5K takes place on Friday, June 10, at 7 p.m. It takes off from courthouse park and follows a course back to the starting point. People also have the option of participating online and completing the race at their leisure.
There will also be a scavenger hunt, held around the courthouse at the same time as the race. All the proceeds go to the football program which Brooks coaches.

The 5K costs about $25 with a $10 discount for K-12 students. Solo scavengers also pay $25. Scavenger teams (of four) pay $80.
