Union Township Justice Court

Items in the Court Docket are compiled from public records contained in the Union Township Justice Court and the Sixth Judicial District Court. The Humboldt Sun reports all felony hearings, misdemeanor convictions and dismissals for which the court releases information.

On April 28, Brandon L. Anderson pleaded guilty to the amended criminal complaint of petit larceny and possess drug not to be introduced into interstate commerce. The court ruled: count one – fined $1,000 + $140AA, count two - $1,000 + $140AA. Defendant was given credit for time served for the total amount owed. Restitution in the amount $265.62 was ordered to be paid. 



On April 28, Jonathan Connelly pleaded guilty to resident with non-Nevada driver’s license. The court ruled: $100 + 95AA to be paid in monthly payments. 



On April 29, the charge of theft against Aimee K. Aitken was dismissed due to compliance with terms of deferred prosecution. Case dismissed without prejudice. 



On May 12, Ty Victor Albisu agreed to pay fine in full for petit larceny, proof of insurance and operating unregistered vehicle. The court ruled: fine for $1,000 + $140AA. 



On May 16, the case against Michael Lapierre for domestic battery first offense was dismissed for failure to collect evidence or in alternative, for an exculpatory jury instruction filed. 



On May 17, Shane Higham pleaded no contest to the amended charge of driving under the influence first offense.  The court ruled: sentenced to 30 days jail with 28 days stayed for period of one year, stayed jail time on the condition he serve two days in jail, credited one day served and community service is ordered for the second day to be completed. Fined $400 + $125AA + $60 forensic fee, cash bail forfeited to pay for outstanding fines owed, DUI School to be completed, victim impact panel to be completed, review hearing set for Sept. 28 and bail is exonerated. 



On May 17, Glenn Chapman IV provided proof of valid license therefore count 2 – drive without valid drivers license was dismissed. Defendant will pay for count 1 – basic speeding violation 1-10 MPH over posted limit. 



On May 17, pursuant to negotiations the D.A. reduced the fine against William Bates for basic speeding violation- 21-30 MPH over posted limit from $415 to $315. 



On May 18, the charges against Jose Ulises Trujillo-Contreras of expired license plates, resident with non-Nevada drivers license and resident with non-Nevada registration were dismissed pursuant to negotiations and proof provided. Defendant will pay fines and fees for count 2 – driving without valid license totaling $195. 



On May 18, due to compliance the charge against Jhebang Ko for driving without valid license was dismissed and count 1 – basic speed 1-10 remained the same. Defendant fined $195. 



On May 18, due to compliance the D.A. reduced the fine against Kendra Kay Soderberg to $205 for drive on suspended/revoked drivers license. 



On May 18, Joshua Quincy Heckman pleaded guilty to driving while license is cancelled/suspended or revoked, operating an unregistered vehicle, and no proof of insurance. The court ruled: credit of five days jail time served to cover all the fines and fees of $1,490.  Defendant released from custody. 



On May 18, Juan Carlos Gallarzo pleaded guilty to count 1 – driving under the influence, first offense. The court ruled: sentenced to 30 days jail with 28 stayed for period of one year, stayed jail time on the condition he serve two days and was given credit for one day time served, one day remaining was converted to 24 hours community service, fined $400 + $125AA + $60 forensic fee, DUI School and Victim Impact Panel ordered to be completed, a breath interlock device was ordered for a period of 185 days, with credit for the 185 days. Pursuant to negotiations the additional counts of speeding, eluding public officer and reckless driving were dismissed in open court. Bail is exonerated. 



On May 20, Nerio Osvaldo Ceballos presented a medical marijuana card to the D.A. resulting in charge of possession of marijuana-under 21 to be dismissed. 



On May 20, Marissa Lynn Dick submitted a plea agreement in abstentia for the amended charge of drugs wich may not be introduced into interstate commerce. The court ruled: Fine $700 + $140AA defendant was credited for 4 days time served settling the total amount owed. 

On May 24, due to compliance with diversion agreement the charges against Whitney Kelly for child abuse, neglect or endangerment were dismissed. 



On May 24, Mark Leroy Harris pleaded guilty to driving under the influence, first offense and disobedience of traffic control device. The court ruled: count 1 – sentenced to 30 days jail with 28 stayed for a period of one year, stayed jail time on the condition he serve two days, credit for time served of 14 hours and ordered to 64 hours house arrest for remaining time. Fined $400 + $125AA + $60 Forensic Fee paid by cash bail forfeiture, DUI school and victim impact panel ordered to be completed, breath interlock device ordered for a period of 185 days. Count 2 – Fined $100 + $95 AA to be paid by cash bail forfeiture. Review hearing set for Sept. Remaining bail exonerated.
