It’s time for the playoffs

The Lovelock adult softball league played their last regular games of the year last Thursday.

Now, the eight-teams head into the single elimination playoffs.

The three-time defending champs, Thick N Wild, are eager to hold onto their title.

They’ll fight hard against the competition.

The top-ranked Wolf Pack remains undefeated. Next comes Thick N Wild, Second Stringers, Smokin Aces, Brew Crew, Weekend Warriors, Modelo Time and Goyo’s Garage.

The playoffs are at McDougal Park on Monday and Thursday.

On Monday, July 25, the Smokin Aces played Brew Crew.

The Second Stringers played the Weekend Warriors and Thick N Wild played Modelo Time. The Wolf Pack competed against Goyo’s Garage. Results were not available at press time.

On Thursday, July 28, the winners of Monday’s games play at 6 and 7 p.m. The championship game is at 8 p.m.

In 2018, Jim’s Point S won the first Lovelock Softball Association title. In 2019, Jared Jensen took over as league president.

That year Thick N Wild won the first of their three championships.

The LSA closes its fifth season. They consistently have seven to ten teams in the league.

The players say they look forward to it all year.

“I believe we had more high schoolers participating in our league this year than we ever had,” Jensen said.
