The final District 3 Little League tournament of the summer gets under way on Thursday, July 7, as Winnemucca hosts the junior tournament at the Winnemucca Sports Complex.
Eight teams from northern Nevada will compete for five days, with the opportunity to advance to the state tournament in Las Vegas from July 20-24.
High Desert (Fernley) and Silverada (Dayton) open the day at 8 a.m. and Winnemucca takes on Elko at 10:30 a.m.
The winner of those two games play at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, July 8, while the losers play at 8 a.m. on Friday, July 8.
In the bottom half of the bracket, Battle Mountain makes the short trip to play White Pine at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 7.
Ruby Mountain (Spring Creek) and Walker River (Yerington) play at 8 p.m.
The winners play each other at 8 p.m. on Friday July, 8, with the losers matching up at 10:30 a.m. on July 8.
The winner’s bracket game continues on Saturday, July 9, at 7 p.m., with the championship set for 5:30 p.m., om Monday, July 11.
Consolation bracket games will be played at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, and 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 10.
