Union Township Justice Court

Items are compiled from public information contained in the Winnemucca Police Department (WPD) and Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) reports. The Great Basin Sun reports all incidents about which the law-enforcement agencies release information. Information will not be withheld at the requests of persons whose names appear in the blotter or elsewhere in the newspaper that are released by law enforcement agencies. Persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

HCSO

On June 27, Cody Nelson, 40, was arrested for felony fugitive for justice warrant out of another state. No bail.



On June 28, Cody Frank Potter, 24, was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance — methamphetamine. Bail $5,000. 



On June 24, Cathryn Hartzog, 52, was arrested for misdemeanor failure to appear. Bail $260.



On June 12, Christopher Stettler, 42, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, domestic violence and hit and run. Bail $24,140.



On June 26, Lincoln Jacob Peterson, 36, was arrested on a felony bench warrant for failure to appear. Bail $5,200.



On June 22, Susan Ridens, 45, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail $5,640.



On June 22, Michelle Smith, 41, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear. Bail $1,535.



On June 22, James Doyal, 43, was arrested for driving while suspended. Bail $355.



On June 22, Michael McLean, 41, was arrested for violating a Temporary Protection Order. Bail $3,000.



On June 12, Christopher Stettler, 42, was arrested on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance. Bail $5,000.

Union Township Justice Court

On June 15, pursuant to negotiation Briceida Lopez pleaded guilty to unlawful restraining of dog – first offense. The court ruled: fine $200 + $105AA, ordered to 48 hours house arrest and 48 hours community service. Pursuant to negotiation the charge of failure to provide proper air, food, shelter or water to impounded animal was dismissed. 



On June 27, the charge of driving while license is cancelled/suspended/revoked against Miranda Rae Moore was dismissed upon proof of valid license. Moore paid fine for driving in excess of posted speed zone 21-30 over limit from cash bail posted. 



On June 27, James Allen Rector pleaded guilty to driving while license is cancelled, suspended or evoked and obedience to devices for control of traffic. Defendant was set up for a payment plan of $50 monthly to pay for fees.



On June 28, pursuant to negotiation the charge of reckless driving against Victor Yael Tinoco was amended to 484B.600 basic speed with the fine amount remaining at $627.
