Norman Judson Koger (July 26, 1944 – December 25, 2021) son of Robert and Ethel (Montgomery) Koger (both deceased), passed away unexpectedly on Christmas day while celebrating with family at his home in Winnemucca, NV.
A prior medical condition had left Norman unable to fully care for himself, but he was fortunate to have loving family that nurtured, blessed and assisted in his care until his passing at the age of 77.
Norman graduated from Ponca City Oklahoma High School in 1962 and later received a BS in Mathematics from Oklahoma State University.
Norman held positions in Information Technology then joined Continental Airlines as a Supervisor because of his passion for airplanes.
Norman was a talented guitar player and played in rock bands while serving in the U.S. Air Force.
Norman fathered four children: Michele Koger Corbett, Anthony Musselman and Timothy Musselman, all of the Tampa Bay, FL area, and Melissa Kizer of Las Vegas, NV.
He is survived by his children, sister Lynn Lindsay (Robert), and brother Robert Koger, all of Winnemucca, and brother Larry (Donna) Koger of Wichita, KS, as well as three nieces (Carrie Lucero, Amy Koger and Jessica Lindsay). numerous grandchildren, great nieces and nephews, and other family.
A military veteran, Norman will be given a military burial and interment at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley, NV.
The grounds there, which are beautiful, peaceful and meticulously maintained, will be a fitting resting place for our beloved Norman, whom we already miss.
