Items in the Court Docket are compiled from public records contained in the Union Township Justice Court and the Sixth Judicial District Court. The Humboldt Sun reports all felony hearings, misdemeanor convictions and dismissals for which the court releases information. When requested by the individual, the Sun will post the person’s mug shot with their court disposition.

December 9
A gross misdemeanor charge of abuse, neglect or endangerment of a child against Daniel Grandos Cisneros Torres was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office in open court as the defendant complied with terms.
January 6
A felony possession of a controlled substance charge against Tangila Marie Scott was dismissed in open court on a motion by the DA’s office pursuant to the defendant pleading guilty in a misdemeanor case.
January 11
Jacob Newton pleaded guilty to count one: hit and run property damage and count two: failure to immediately report a traffic accident. On count one the court ordered a $1,000 fine + $140 administrative assessment and on count two a $500 fine + $140 administrative assessment, with $1,000 in fines suspended for one year. Deputy District Attorney Mark Shockley told the court that a letter was mailed to the victim and no reply was received regarding restitution.
