Lowry High School honored a number of former athletes on Saturday afternoon, prior to the start of the varsity boys basketball game against Fernley. Earl Cornforth, Alicia Heiser and the 1958 Humboldt County High School football team was inducted into the Lowry/Humboldt County High School hall of Fame. In addition the 1992 Lowry boys and girls basketball and Lowry wrestling state championship teams were honored for their titles 30 years ago. It was the first time three teams from the same school swept state championships in a single winter season. The Lowry 2002 boys and girls state championship basketball teams were honored, as well as the 2012 state champion boys basketball team.
