This Saturday (Jan. 15) ,Lowry High School will recognize the 1992 boys basketball, girls basketball and wrestling state championship teams, the 2002 boys and girls basketball teams, and the 2012 boys basketball and wrestling teams, athletes and coaches.
The 1992 teams will be honor for the 30th Anniversary of that year and for sweeping the winter sports season.
According to the NIAA at that time Lowry was the only school to ever do so.
The 20th and 10th anniversary of the other teams will also be honored.
It is Hall of Fame Induction weekend and Lowry would like to recognize all the teams at the start of the boys game at 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 15.
There will be a celebration after the boys game at The Boys & Girls Club of Winnemucca at 4:30 p.m., and it will be hosted by the Winnemucca Century Club.
Finger foods and drinks will be provided. So a head count would be much appreciated.
