Sarah Jane Lombardo was 87 years old when she passed away peacefully from this world on December 19, 2021 in Winnemucca, Nevada.
Sarah was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, December 19, 1934 to her father, James Kenneth Cox, and her mother, Evelyn Frances Cox.
The thirteen years later, her sister, Susie, was born.
After high school, Sarah and her family moved to Pensacola, Florida. Soon after, Sarah met the love of her life Joseph C. Lombardo (Air Force), during spring break from college on Santa Rosa Beach.
In 1957, Sarah and Joseph got married in Georgia.
Sarah and Joseph lived all over the world during their lives together being in the military.
Their daughter, Tina Adkins Lombardo, was born in 1961 in Tampa, Florida and a year later their son, Joe Lombardo, was born in Sapporo, Japan.
After living around the world and many years, Sarah’s husband, Joseph, retired from Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada and Sarah retired from Civil Service Boulder City, Nevada as a drafting artist for Boulder Dam.
Sarah’s beloved husband, Joseph Lombardo, passed away in 2016. His wishes were to be cremated. Sarah then moved to Winnemucca, Nevada to be cared for by her daughter, Tina, and her son in law, Page Adkins.
Sarah is survived by her daughter, Tina Adkins Lombardo, her son, Joe Lombardo, her granddaughter, Morgan Sarah Lombardo, her son in law, Page Adkins, her daughter in law, Donna Alderson Lombardo, her sister, Susie Medlock, and her brother in law, Charlie Medlock.
On this day, January 12, 2022, Sarah and Joseph Lombardo will be laid to rest together
