July 11, 1942 to December 25, 2021
Nancy Lynn Wagner passed away in Idaho on December 25, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with family by her side.
For the past year, she was living in Nampa, Idaho to be closer to her family.
Nancy was born July 11, 1942 in Spokane, Washington to Francine and Richard White.
Nancy was raised in Anaconda, Montana, where she graduated from High School in 1960. April 22, 1960, she married the love of her life, Fred A. Wagner.
In 1968, Nancy and Fred moved their family to Battle Mountain, Nevada, where they raised three children, Lori, Kristine and Freddy.
Nancy spent 27 years working for the Lander County School District, retiring in 2002.
Much of this time was in the Title I program. She was so proud to be part of many children’s lives over the years, and would tell all who asked about how these children today as adults reach out to her.
She stayed in contact with many as they moved onto adulthood and raised their own families.
Nancy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, known for the lover of jewelry, especially earrings. Afterall, you are not dressed until you have on earrings!
Many hours were spent baking, scrapbooking, watching softball, football, basketball, dance recitals, piano and choir recitals, ice fishing, and hunting. Nancy enjoyed music of all kinds but was a die-hard Elvis Presley fan. She is fondly thought of as the Grandmother who was always there with a listening ear, kind words, positivity and support. She was a kind, loving, and never cross woman who loved life, people and animals.
Nancy enjoyed travelling and was lucky to have been in almost all 50 states.
She traveled from coast to coast, Hawaii, Alaska, New York, Florida and many states in between.
In her later years, she spent winters in Florida and summers in Alaska and Nevada.
Traveling across the US many times in her motorhome.
She is survived by her children, Lori & Bernie Romero, Kris & David Itza, Fred & Sharon Wagner, 8 grandchildren (Jennifer Brunson (Jake), Jeff Williams (Kami), Felycia Itza (Jeff), Emily Wagner, Jillian Itza, Ashley Taylor (Nathan), Rex Jackson (Tiffany), and Leanna Jackson), 11 great-grandchildren (Kailey, Arly, Jacob, Evan, Brielle, Kacey, Braxton, Zebedia, Challis, Hallie and Delaney, sister Jeanie Vandekop (Duane), brother Hugo Galle (Charlotte), sister-in-law Bonnie Peterson (Ronnie), and many nieces and nephews.
Nancy is preceded in death by her first love and husband Fred Wagner, and parents Francine Hummel and Richard White.
At the request of Nancy, no services will be held.
The family will gather at a later time to re-unite Nancy & Fred with their beloved pets Charlie and Tracker.
