Longhorns split with Wolverines, Falcons to end regular season

The Battle Mountain High School boys basketball team split its final two regular season games, losing to West Wendover 53-17 on Tuesday, Feb. 8, and beating Coral Academy 50-43 on Friday night in Battle Mountain, as the Longhorns celebrated Winterfest and senior night.

The Northern 2A Regional Championships take place this weekend in Winnemucca. 

Battle Mountain will be the No. 5 seed in the Northern 2A.

The opening day games will be at the junior high school with Battle Mountain facing North Tahoe at 6:15 p.m. p.m.  

The winner of that game plays Incline or Yerington on Friday at Lowry High School at 2:45 p.m.

West Wendover and Pershing County play at 2:45 p.m. on Thursday at Winnemucca Junior High School. 

That winner plays Yerington or Incline at 6:15 p.m. at Lowry High School. The championship game is set for 12:45 p.m. on Saturday at the Winnemucca Event Center.
