This Saturday Devin Moura and Wyatt Hughes will wrestle as top seeds in the Northern 2A Regional Championships at PCHS. It starts at 9 a.m.
Expect a crowd of dedicated fans from all over northern Nevada as the season careens toward its culmination – the State tournament at The Meadows School in Las Vegas on Feb 19.
Justin Carruth landed a win at the duals in Battle Mountain this past weekend. He’s hoping to qualify for State, an accomplishment especially for a freshman. Lucian Gonzalez battled in a couple of matches, gaining valuable experience.
“The duals went well,” said coach Mike Brooks.
The team said farewell to Moura at the basketball game against Tahoe this past weekend. He graduates this spring.
The top four finishers in each weight class advance to the state championships.
