After missing a week of home games with Yerington and Silver Stage, the Battle Mountain High School boys basketball team returned to action last weekend with a road trip to Lake Tahoe.
Battle Mountain traveled to league-leading and undefeated Incline on Friday night and suffered a 68-24 loss to the Highlanders.
Incline scored 24 points in each of the first two quarters to build a 48-14 lead at halftime, including a 24-3 run in the second quarter.
Battle Mountain closed out the road trip on Saturday in Tahoe City, Calif., against North Tahoe.
The results of the game were not available at press time.
Battle Mountain hosts Pershing County on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. and travels to Yerington on Friday and Silver Stage on Saturday.
Incline leads the Northern 2A at 7-0 and Yerington is second at 4-1.
West Wendover (4-3) and followed by Battle Mountain, Coral Academy, North Tahoe, Silver Stage and Pershing County.
The Northern 2A Regional Basketball Championships will include the top six teams and be played at the Winnemucca Junior High, Lowry High School and Winnemucca Event Center from Feb. 17-19.
