Battle Mountain’s Shea Jones was named to the Northern 2A volleyball all-league, first team as a setter.
The selections are chosen by the league’s coaches.
Jones, a senior, had a team-high 64 aces and 54 digs this season, to go with 31 kills, which third-best amongst the squad.
The first team included Savannah Draper and Jaquleina Flores of Yerington, Addie Alter and Miya Casci (North Tahoe), Marina Moger (Incline) and Kaylen Halverson (Pershing County).
Yerington’s Kaydence Hernandez was named the Northern 2A MVP.
Pershing County’s Taylor Garland was the Defensive Player of the Year, North Tahoe’s Alana Hendricks the Outside Hitter of the Year and North Tahoe’s Chiara Gajar was selected as the Coach of the Year.
Battle Mountain’s Christina Holley was the lone second-team selection for the Lady Longhorns.
Holley, a senior, led the team with 70 kills. She added 35 blocks, 20 aces and eight digs.
That team was rounded out by Angelina Davis (Yerington), Katie Fuller (Incline), Kaydence Happy (Pershing County), Lola Williams and Stella Gajar (North Tahoe) and Adara Griffith (West Wendover).
The Lady Longhorns’ Olivia Lemaire, Heidy Amezcua and Lilliana Haney were named to the honorable mention team.
