Nov. 23

In the case of David Tavit Sherrod, Charged with 1- basic speed violation, 2- display fictitious, cancelled, revoked, suspended/altered vehicle registration: DA Mike Macdonald discussed the matter with the defendant off the record via telephone. Defendant provided proof of registration to the DA resulting in dismissal of count 2. DA amended count 1 with fine amount to remain as is.



Nov. 22

In the case of Ya Chou Lee, charged with 1 – possession of drug with may not be introduced into interstate commerce, 2- possession of drug paraphernalia. Chief Deputy DA Kevin Pasquale agreed to an amended complaint: 6 months jail and $1,000 fine for each count was presented to the court. Count 1 – sentenced to 6 months jail suspended on the condition of no new like violations, fined $1,140. Count 2 – sentenced to 6 months jail suspended on the condition of no new like violations. Fined $1,140. $150 converted to jail time and given credit for time served. Remaining $2,130 to be paid by cash bail forfeiture.



Andrew Billingsley, charged with 1 – basic speed 11-20 over: Chief Deputy DA Kevin Pasquale discussed with defendant off the record via telephone. Reduced fine to $150 with charge to remain as-is. Pay in full by end of day.



Nov. 21

Thomas Christopher Mowry-Casias pleaded guilty to driving without a valid license and agreed to a monthly payment of $50 beginning December 2022.



Nov. 17

For domestic battery, Christopher Lee Stettler was sentenced to a fine of $340 with monthly payments of $50; 60 days jail with 58 days stayed for 1 year; serve 2 days jail with credit for 1 day time served; remaining day converted to 2 days house arrested; 48 hours community service to be completed by March 1, 2023; 26 sessions of batterer’s intervention counseling with monthly reports to the court. 



In the case of Damian Leon-Figueroa, charged with domestic battery second offense: DA Michael Macdonald amended the criminal complaint to simple battery, defendant pleaded no contest. Fined $1,140, the court gave the defendant credit of $150 for one day time served leaving a balance of $990. The court suspended all fines and fees for 1 year on the condition of no new like violations other than minor traffic. Bail exonerated.
