Fall sports for Battle Mountain High School will kick into high gear this weekend.
After holding a Green/Gold scrimmage this past Friday, the Battle Mountain football team will travel to Winnemucca on Friday to play Lowry at 7 p.m.
It is the first meeting between the two schools since 2017,
The Longhorns make their home debut on Thursday, Sept. 1, against White Pine at 7 p.m. at Tim Knight Field.
After opening the season last weekend at the White Pine tournament in Ely, the Battle Mountain volleyball team will be at home this weekend to play in its home tournament.
The Lady Longhorns travel to White Pine on Friday, Sept. 2.
The Battle Mountain girls golf team will be in Spring Creek on Thursday to begin its season.
The Battle Mountain girls soccer team hosts Sage Ridge on Friday, Sept. 2, at 2 p.m. and Yerington on Saturday, Sept. 3, at 10 a.m.
