We Ustacould won the 2022 Winners Inn Shootout bowling tournament held Aug. 6-7 at Spare Time Bowl in Winnemucca.
The Winners Inn and Winnemucca Inn helped sponsor the tournament of 90 players, including 80 of them from out of town. Over $13,000 in prize money was awarded as 30 teams competed.
We Ustacould won the top prize of $3,600 and team members include Elliot Morris, John Landers and Bill Cranston.
SDG (Skylar Belcher, Debra King, Gene Carlisle) finished second and earned $2,700. Flynn’s (Chris Wilkes, Scott Asencio, Jamie Flynn) placed third and won $1,950.
ThunderBerry Muffin (Josh Groves, Jeff Cecil, Danny Pankowski) were fourth and won $1,500.
Candy Mountain (Jennifer Dunbar, Chad Patton, Mike Taylor) placed fifth and Maw, the Meatloaf (Robert Landis, Mitch Roser, Travis Love) were sixth.
Spudheads (Allan Eichorn, Matt White, Ajay Walters) placed seventh and JCS (Shawn Reed, Colt Loon, Jason Serratos) finished in eighth.
The high team game went to Fight Club (Tom Jones, Rosa Landis, Robbie Cook) with a 711 series. Dave Christy had the high individual game, with a 282.
The high average out of the money went to Adam Wilson at 217.92.
Russell Vershum and Nick Wheeler had the high individual points won/out of the money with 20 each.
Spudheads won the Saturday, Aug. 6, results, while Intergenerational Spitroast and Thunderberry Muffin were second and third, respectively.
