Ducks Unlimited (DU) is a nonprofit group with the mission to conserve, restore, and manage wetlands and associated habitats for North America's waterfowl.
These habitats also benefit other wildlife and people.
DU got its start in 1937 during the Dust Bowl when North America's drought-plagued waterfowl populations had plunged to unprecedented lows.
Determined not to sit idly by as the continent's waterfowl dwindled beyond recovery, a small group of sportsmen joined together to form an organization that became known as Ducks Unlimited.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 20th at the Winnemucca Golf Course to come support your local DU. In addition to the golfing fun, multiple raffles and a silent auction will take place. Friday night Papa Dave and Friends will be performing from 6-9 p.m.
Fire and Ice raffle tickets will be available for purchase including ten guns and ten coolers.
