Dozens of bicyclists age three through 10 raced down Elmhurst Avenue on Sunday morning.
The Lovelock Volunteer Fire Department sponsored its annual Frontier Days bicycle race.
Lily and Ryan Manley's grandmother came from California to watch them compete. Lily, 9, won first-place in her age range. Ryan also took home some prize money.
So did several other children. The fire department made sure everyone wore a helmet and raced safely.
After the race, most cyclists headed for the community pool. It now features a water slide. "Come try it out," says swim coach Pat Rowe.
