Major League University makes baseball/softball stop in Battle Mountain

Making its way through northern Nevada last week and after a stop in Lovelock, the Major League University group was in Battle Mountain on Saturday and Sunday at the youth sports complex next to the junior high to put on a baseball and softball clinic. MLU is based in Arizona but its coaches travel throughout the country holding  camps. CEO Austin Byler is a former NCAA two-time All-American at the University of Nevada. He was an MLB draft pick and played for the Arizona Diamondbacks. The large group of kids were put into different age groups and worked on the various aspects of the fundamentals of baseball and softball.
