Obituary: Bonnie Jeanne (Grover) Northrup

Bonnie Jeanne (Grover) Northrup passed away on July 23, 2022 at her home in Winnemucca, Nevada.

She was born on November 7, 1940 in Van Etten, New York to Sherman and Ruth Grover. 

She grew up in Van Etten, New York with her parents and three siblings. 

 She married Ronald Sundloff in 1956 and the two were married and lived in Lockwood, New York until 1963. 

Bonnie moved to Maryland in 1964. In Glen Burnie, Bonnie met and married Norman F Osterkamp in 1965, the two were married until 1974 and upon their separation, she moved across the country to California. 

She made her home in Fremont and Palo Alto until 1981 when she made the move to Winnemucca, Nevada. 

Although Bonnie had been married 4 times before she never gave up on true love. 

She met the love of her life in Winnemucca, Lamar E. Northrup. The two wed on April 2, 1983.

They shared 32 wonderful years and many memories together until Lamar’s passing in 2015. 

Bonnie was associated with the First Baptist Church, she attended with her good friend, Modene Smiraldo. 

She was an animal lover, she especially loved her birds; she had chicken stocks and peacocks and too many others to name, and her dauchshunds; Pokey, Doscololi and Emmie. 

She always grew a beautiful garden, she enjoyed swimming and watching westerns and eating egg and olive sandwiches. 

She is survived by her children, Victoria Williams, Rhonda (Rob) Sullivan, Barbara (Sterling) Sundloff-Wilson, Robin Osterkamp, Pam Evans and Randy Osterkamp. Her grandchildren, Robert, Heather, Megan, Joel, Josh, JJ, Jennifer, Torin, Robbie, Melissa, Connor, Erin, and Daniel, as well as many great-grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lamar Northrup, her brothers, Buckley Grover, Bradley Grover and Dale Grover and her grandson, Ryan Sullivan.

Services for Bonnie Northrup will be announced at a later date. 

The family would like to thank Kammie and Ashley, who took such great care of Bonnie throughout the last few years.
