Adell Kay Harris, 81, of Lovelock, Nevada passed away on April 11, 2022. Adell was laid to rest with Charles (Ozzie) Harris at Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2022 at Grace St. Francis Church in Lovelock.
Adell was born May 29, 1940 in Oshkosh, WI to George and Katherine Riddle. She had two brothers (Charles and George) and a sister (Rita). In 1962, Adell moved to Lovelock to begin her career in education. She enjoyed teaching and made a difference to so many students during her 40+ years as a 3rd grade teacher.
Adell loved traveling with her sister, playing cards with her grandchildren, gardening, and watching the Cubs. She will be greatly missed by so many including her daughters: Anne Marie, Cyndy (Brett), and Pam, her 8 grandchildren: Cassidie, Kendra and Kalynne, Kelli, Catrina, and Jordan, and Conrad and Rebecca her 13 great grandchildren: Kylee, Carson, Ben, Emma, Mason, Jack, Beau, Caden, Cole, Madison, Morgan, Emerson, and Everett, and her brother George (Marci). Adell is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Charles and sister.
Adell was a member of the Episcopal church and over the years she supported the food bank. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to LES Sunshine Club, P. O. Box 621, Lovelock, NV (supports local students, teachers, athletic needs) or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
