It was a busy week for the Lowry High School girls soccer team with a game added at the end that was unexpected.

The Lady Bucks had many opportunities to score in the first half but finally netted a goal in the final moments of the first half on a shot by Alia Novi.

It took just three minutes into the second half for Lowry to add to its lead as Emily Backus scored off a free kick that went off the goalie’s hands.

However, the lead was short-lived, as the Hawks answered back with goals in the 49th and 57th minute to tie the match at 2-2.

Hug’s goal in the 57th minutes started a run of six goals in a 19-minute span toward the end of the second half. Lowry reclaimed the lead at 3-2 in the 59th minute, as Backus scored her second goal of the day on a through ball that was misplayed by the Hug goalie.

Backus completed the hat trick with her third goal moments later and Britain Backus closed out the scoring in the 76th minute in the high-scoring affair.
