Buckaroos lose twice on the road

The Lowry High School boys soccer team dropped a pair of matches in Reno this past weekend to close out crossover meeings with the Northern 3A West.

Lowry traveled to Bishop Manogue on Friday and suffered a 5-3 loss. The Miners led 3-1 at halftime and the Buckaroos stayed within striking distance in the final 40 minutes, scoring a pair of goals but could not overcome the two-goal deficit.

Lowry made its way to McQueen High School on Saturday afternoon and led the Lancers 1-0 at halftime. 

However, McQueen scored a two goals in the second half and secured the 2-1 win.

Lowry (0-9 overall, 0-6 in league play) opened Northern 3A East play at home against Churchill County on Tuesday and results were not available at press time. 

Lowry travels to Dayton on Friday, Oct. 1, at 4:45 p.m. and Fernley on Saturday, Oct. 2, at 11:45 a.m.
