Nevada’s home slate begins with a two-game stand against Eastern Washington (Nov. 9) and San Diego (Nov. 12), tipping off a 15-game campaign at Lawlor.
Eastern Washington is one of four 2021 NCAA Tournament teams to visit Lawlor this season, being joined by Grand Canyon (Dec. 21), Utah State (Jan. 29), and San Diego State (March 5).
Head coach Steve Alford returns for his third season, returning eight players, including Mountain West Newcomer of the Year point guard Grant Sherfield and All-Mountain West shooting guard Desmond Cambridge, Jr. from a team that went 16-10 and reached the Mountain West Tournament semifinals.
Also set to return are forwards Warren Washington (10.0 ppg, 5.9 rpg in 2020-21) and K.J. Hymes (6.3 ppg, 22 blocks), along with freshman starters Tré Coleman (5.0 ppg, 20 steals) and Daniel Foster (4.3 ppg, 48.6 FG pct. over 11 games).
