Daryl Lynn Wornek of Winnemucca, NV sadly passed away after a long battle with Covid. Daryl passed away on October 8, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Boise, ID with his girls by his side.
He passed one week after his 51st birthday.
Daryl was born September 30th 1970 to Daniel and Bonita Wornek in Elko, NV. He was the youngest of 3 brothers and a sister.
Daryl married Leona D. Curtis on June 19th 1993 in Arco, ID. Becoming a instant and amazing father to Leona’s two sons, Joshua K. Curtis and Christopher T. Curtis.
Years later Daryl and Leona had two girls, Shayla B. Wornek and Riley M. Wornek.
In 2007 Daryl was employed by Barrick Turquoise Ridge Gold Mine. Daryl worked at the mine for 14 years up to his passing.
Services will be held October 23, at 1:00 at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints at 3105 Mary Way.
In lieu of cards an flowers please send them to the Boys and Girls club any day after 12:00 pm.
