Obituary: Carol Elaine Ames

Carol Elaine Ames went to be with Jesus on September 28, 2021. She was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska on February 27, 1948. She was 73 years young.

Carol was a loving mother to 3 children, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and auntie to many. 

She was a friend to everyone she met. Carol’s motto was “Let the love flow” and she lived by this motto. 

Carol did many different jobs and owned various businesses. 

The last being Seams Heavenly Sewing, where she altered, altered, mended, and sewing for many in the Winnemucca Community. She treasured this business and all of her customers; she was well known for her poodle skirts made for Winnemucca 50’s Fever. 

She kept this business thriving until her health would no longer allow. 

Carol loved spending time with her family, being with the ones she loved always made her heart happy. She will be greatly missed.

Carol is preceded in death by her mother, Opal Garner, brother, Glen Garner and her baby boy, Thomas John Ames, Jr. 

She is survived by her best friend and father of her children, John Ames. Sister, Judy Vaughn and Lori Orlando and Brother, Rich Garner. 

Her daughters, Debra Fiske and Spring Nachiondo and her son, J.D. Ames. 

Sons-in-law, Herb Fiske and Jose Nachiondo. Grandchildren, Rebecca Ashby, Patrick Ames, Will Ames, Zachary Abdelsalam, Josh Nachiondo, Maihesa Seaney, Joe Nachiondo, Thomas Ames, Trevor Ames, Tanner Ames, Tyler Ames, and 18 great-grandchildren.

Carol wanted a party/BBQ for her life celebration. This will be planned for Summer 2022.
