The Northern 2A East girls golf league held its regional championship this past Thursday at Winnemucca Municipal Golf Course.
Due to Covid restrictions, Battle Mountain had to play by themselves on Friday in less than ideal conditions, as a steady rain fell for the golfers during the early morning.
Wells won the regional championship at 553, followed by West Wendover at 577 and Battle Mountain 750.
Kiana Gonzalez, Alyssa Laughton, McKenzie Burkhart, Vanessa Gillogley and Aubrey Levine competed for the Lady Longhorns.
Weather permitting the NIAA 2A State Championships were held Tuesday and Wednesday.
