The winning ways continue for the Lowry High School volleyball team, as the squad extended its winning streak to five matches after an opening victory in Northern 3A East play.
The Lady Bucks traveled to Fallon on Wednesday, Sept. 22, and came from behind to beat the Greenwave in five sets.
The two teams split the first two sets, with Fallon winning the first at 25-17 and Lowry coming back in the second to win 25-20.
Fallon took a 2-1 advantage, winning the third set 25-19 and were looking to win the match in four sets. However, the Lady Bucks stayed alive with an exciting 25-23 win in the fourth set. Lowry took the momentum for the fourth set and pulled away early in the fifth set for a 15-8 win and improved to 8-4 and 1-0 in the Northern 3A East.
Lowry traveled to Reno on Tuesday to play Wooster in a Northern 3A West crossover match.
The match was originally set for Sept. 7, in Winnemucca but was postponed due to Washoe County transportation issues.
Lowry is back home Friday to play Dayton at 6 p.m. and Saturday at noon against Fernley. The Lady Bucks travel to Spring Creek on Tuesday, Oct. 5, for a 6 p.m. start.
