Carlotta Scheffner, 78, joined her parents, Frank and Myrle Thacker, her two brothers, Frankie and Michael Thacker, and beloved husband Rob Scheffner in Heaven on November 12, 2021.
She is survived by her seven children, Matt (Joni and Pam) Wanner, Regan Frost, Dawn (Dale) Varnson, Thursday Martak, Drew (Kim) Wanner, Lamont (LaLena) Wanner, and Ricki Lynn (Tom) Dante, 30 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
Carlotta was born on December 2, 1943 in LA County, California.
At just 15 years old, she married her first husband and moved to the Fernley and Silver Springs area in Nevada.
In her 30’s, she moved to Ogden, UT and went back to school to become a nurse.
After getting her degree, she worked as an RN for the Nevada Department of Corrections and then for Pershing General Hospital.
Carlotta enjoyed spending time with her family, watching her grandkids play sports, fishing, gardening, and helping others.
She also loved being an active member in the LDS church, working on her genealogy and doing temple work. Most importantly, Carlotta had a huge heart with a ton of love to give for everyone around her.
She never judged anyone and was always willing to help someone else out if they needed it.
She loved her family more than anything and never hesitated to tell her friends stories about each of her children and grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on December 3, 2021 at 1 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Lovelock, NV. Graveside services will be held on December 6, 2021 in Ogden, UT.
