Junior varsity volleyball team attends sports awards

Pershing County High School JV volleyball coach Nancy Meissner introduced the junior varsity team at the sports awards last Tuesday. 

The freshmen included Aaliyah Allen and Chelsey Bloome. Allen had 84 kills for the season, the most on the team. Meissner noted that Bloom has “the best and most positive attitude.”

Sophomores made up the rest of the team – Jessica Gonzalez, Mady Grenz, Anna Happy, Yasmine McKinney, Katie Moore, KayLee Poffenroth and Morgan Swindlehurst.

The team voted for Jessica Gonzalez as the most improved player. They chose Yasmine McKinney as the MVP.
