Strike Zone Pro Shop wins 2021 Sandy McLinden Memorial Tournament

Strike Zone Pro Shop out of the Reno/Carson City area won the 2021 Sandy McLinden Memorial Tournament held Oct. 6-7 at Spare Time Bowl. 

The Winners Inn provided $3,800 in prize money, as 36 teams nearly 110 bowlers participated, with 96 of them from out of town. Over $13,000 in prize money was awarded. 

Strike Zone pro Shop won the top prize of $3,600 and team members include Jennifer Dunbar, Danny Dunbar and Matt Putzer.

JRC (Carol Long, Roger Hare, Jamie Flynn) finished second and earned $2,700. JJA (Jacob Dobkins, Jim Hunley, Andy Kinney) placed third and won $1,950. #UGTPORKCND (Josh Groves, Jeff Cecil, Danny Pankowski) were fourth and won $1,500. 

LGBF JB (Trevor Vicek, Delbert Sturm, Brian Hammer) placed fifth and MSA (Matt Haylett, Stephanie Cooksey, Ajay Walters) were sixth. 

JAT (Jason Doushharm, Amanda Cary, Tim Kashmier) placed seventh and Oh Hell (Bruce Haylett, Rebecca Azurmendi, Mike Boecher) finished in eighth.

The high team game went to No Sup for You (Mike Sulak, Scott Asencio, Alex Suponch) with a 751 series. Michael Blair and Suponch had the high individual game, with each bowler rolling a 300.

 The high average out of the money went to Cesar Rojas at 230.83. Russell Vershum, Todd Ashcoft and Ed Hunt had the high individual points won/out of the money with 18.

Strike Zone Pro Shop also won the Saturday, Oct. 6, results, while MSA and PSS, were second and third, respectively.
