Frank Brenton
“Pep” Rambough, Jr.
December 12th, 1944 - October 2nd, 2021
Frank Brenton Rambough, Jr., known by his contemporaries as “Pep,” passed away at his home on October 2nd, 2021 surrounded by loved ones after a long, hard-fought battle with SARS-CoV-2.
Frank was born on December 12th, 1944 in Idaho to Frank & Edith Rambough. He had a brother, Robert Douglas (Doug), and a sister, Sheree Lynn.
Frank was a proud member of the Firth High School, Firth Idaho, Class of 1963, graduating as Athlete of the Year after four years on the Varsity football team in addition to four years on the varsity basketball and baseball teams.
Frank married the love of his life, Teresa Gail Rambough on March 11, 1967; together they had six children, Pamela, Tammy, Blaine, Paula, Brent, and Melissa.
They raised their family in Idaho until 1989 when they moved to Battle Mountain, Nevada so that Frank could pursue an employment opportunity.
In his final years, Frank enjoyed the companionship of his four dogs, Junior, Peanut, Brownie, and especially Charlie.
Frank also enjoyed his extensive collection of rare, unique, and interesting knives, and a secret collection of semi-rare competition yo-yos.
He spent the last few years remodeling and upgrading his home, something he told his wife Gail that he would do, eventually.
Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Gail; two of his daughters, Melissa Rambough Zollinger, Tammy Rambough Patterson; his brother Doug and his sister Sheree; and his parents Frank & Edith.
Frank is survived by the grandchildren he helped raise, Cheyann Rand & Madisen Zollinger, who affectionately called him, “Grandpappy”; his cousins, Bud & Dave Brewington; his children, Pamela Rambough from Boise, Idaho; Blaine Rambough from Stanwood, Washington; Paula Tomera from Battle Mountain, Nevada; and Brent Rambough from Jerome, Idaho; as well as 19 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
The family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to Battle Mountain General Hospital and their staff, in addition to Agape Hospice, Battle Mountain, Nevada, and their staff.
In lieu of flowers, we would ask that donations be made to Agape Hospice, Battle Mountain, Nevada.
