Lyle Hamilton passed away on October 6, 2021, at his home in Battle Mountain, NV.
He was born on February 3, 1948, in Ainsworth, Nebraska to Reba Dorothy and Donald Hamilton.
He lived in Nebraska until the age of 11, then moved to South Dakota and lived there until 1973.
He moved to Battle Mountain, NV in late 2004 where he lived for over 17 years.
Lyle married Clara Smith McGrath on July 24, 1970, the two shared one son, Scott Alan Hamilton.
Lyle was a well-liked member of his community. He belonged to the Battle Mountain Methodist Church, he was a greeter and a Trustee.
He loved woodworking, gardening, fishing and mostly being with friend and neighbors. He was a helper and always tried to help where he could.
He is survived by his wife, Clara, grandchildren, Rob Johnson and Rylee Hamilton. Brother, Nathan Hamilton and sisters, Lois Lurz, Lila (Bruce) Whidly, Cheryle (Cliff) Cressey and family, Lela and her family, Leta and her family and Donna Hamilton. As well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Reba Dorothy and Donald Ivan Hamilton, his sister, Lola Hamilton Hulce, his son, Scott Hamilton and his in-laws Howard and Elinor McGrath.
A Celebration of Life for Lyle will be held at 11:00 am on November 13th at the Battle Mountain Civic Center with lunch to follow.
