Obituary: Betty Allen

Betty Allen passed away on October 30, 2021 at home after a 10-year long battle with cancer.

She was born on April 13, 1940 in Lebanon, Oregon to Charles Karnosh and Doris Ashford.

She enjoyed cooking, reading, traveling, RVing and cruising. 

She loved being involved with her family and her dogs, and enjoyed seeing new places while cruising and looking for new adventures. She loved camping and being on the road.  

Betty was one of the strongest and determined people her family has ever known. At the age of 79, she was so happy to fulfill her dream of parasailing!

Betty is survived by her husband, Ray Olsen; her children, Angela of Eugene, OR; Pamela (Patrick) Brooks of Winnemucca; stepson, Christopher (Sandy) Olsen of Fernley. Grandchildren, Jonathan (Rose) Brooks and Amber (Angel) Huerta of Winnemucca, her great-grandchildren, Anayeli Huerta, Matthew (Kali) Brooks, Angel Huerta Jr., Abril Huerta, Adam Brooks, and Alessandro Huerta all of Winnemucca and one great-great grandchild, Iris Brooks. She is also survived by her brother, Willard Karnosh of Riverside, CA, niece, Sumerrae (Bryan) Karnosh of Riverside, CA and niece, Blythe Karnosh of Jacksonville, North Carolina.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Karnosh and Doris Ashford Vernon.

There are no services planned at this time. There will be a Family Graveside in Albany, Oregon at the Willamette Memorial Park Cemetery on November 15th at 11:30 a.m.
