The Battle Mountain boys golf team traveled to Jackpot for the Northern 2A Regional Tournament, which included the Elko and Spring Creek JV teams.
The Longhorns’ Max Villanueva took first place with a round of 92 and Brice Domagala claimed fourth place with a 96.
“Both players placed within the 10 in every tournament we played in,” said BMHS coach Jayson Cutler. “We continued to improve though out this short season. The Jackpot course was in great shape that provided a tough challenge, in which both players did very well against. I look forward to next year coaching these two excellent golfers. Hopefully getting to play a full season with a State tournament. If we could get more boys to join the golf team we have a legitimate chance as being a state champion next year.”
