Scott Wheeler was recently ordered to serve two concurrent jail sentences on robbery charges dating back to 2010.

Wheeler signed a plea agreement with the DA’s office in which both parties agreed to recommend the court order jail sentences for two counts of gross misdemeanor conspiracy to commit robbery with a deadly weapon, with the jail sentences also served concurrently with the prison time Wheeler had just recently finished serving in California on other charges.

“Mr. Wheeler just served a lengthy prison term, he’s paid his debt and we just want to see him move on,” said Wheeler’s attorney, Joey Gilbert.

Wheeler was ordered to pay $2,430 in restitution to Quick Check in Winnemucca who was the victim of the 2010 incident.

Wheeler was ordered to pay a $153 DNA collection and analysis fee + $25 administrative assessment fee per count in addition to the restitution.

Wheeler apologized to his victims, to the court and to the Winnemucca Police Department for the incident.

“I was not in my right mind, I am now and plan on staying that way for the rest of my life,” said Wheeler. “I plan on paying restitution to my victim and I want to promise to everybody that this will never happen again.”
