The Pershing County track team had a week off from competition. They go back to Battle Mountain on Saturday, May 22, to compete in the NIAA Northern 2A Regional Championship at Eleanor Lemaire Junior High School. The first event begins at noon.
The top four placers in each event will bring home medals.
The top boys and girls team champion in each division meet gets a trophy.
Pershing County’s track and field team consists of about a dozen athletes, half of whom are seniors – Connie Kersnowski, Cheyeanne Diaz, Victor Flores, Dalton McNeff, Julia Steele and Zeke Jackson. Matt and Cassidie Fuller are the head coaches.
