The Lowry High School swim team concluded its regular season this past weekend at Incline with a dual against Incline and North Tahoe.
The Buckaroo boys beat North Tahoe 75-25 and lost 89-63 to Incline. The Lady Bucks beat North Tahoe 43-41 and lost 137-37 to Incline.
In the victory over North Tahoe, Matthew Lizanetz won the 50-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle, while teammate Caden Montero won the 100-yard breaststroke. Montero placed third in the 50-yard freestyle.
Ashton Kalkoske also earned two wins, taking the top spot in the 200-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle. Ashton Perry finished in the runner-up spot I the 100-yard freestyle and was fourth in the 50-yard freestyle.
The 200-yard medley relay of Parry, Montero, Lizanetz and Kalkoske were first and the same foursome won the 200-yard relay.
Against Incline, Lizanetz was first in the 50-yard freestyle and second in the 500-yard freestyle. Montero placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke and third in the 50-yard freestyle and Kalkoske won the 100-yard freestyle and was second in the 200-yard freestyle.
Parry placed second in the 100-yard freestyle and fifth in the 50-yard freestyle. The 200-yard medley relay was second and the 200-yard relay was first.
On the girls side against North Tahoe, Paris Collins was a dual winner, collecting wins in the 200-yard individual medley and 100-yard backstroke.
Zoey Thies won the 100-yard breaststroke and 500-yard freestyle and Mackenzie Swensen finished second in the 50-yard freestyle and third in the 100-yard backstroke.
Against Incline, Thies also won the 500-yard freestyle and third in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Paris’ times were good enough to win the 200-yard individual medley and 100-yard backstroke and Swensen was second in the 50-yard freestyle and third in the 100-yard backstroke.
Lowry travels to Carson City on Friday and Saturday for the Northern 3A Regional Championships.
