The Battle Mountain High School track and field team will host the Northern 2A Regional Championships on Saturday, beginning at noon with the field events.
The track events start at 1 p.m. at Tim Knight Field.
With six (6) teams competing, scoring will follow the NFHS rules book by which points are awarded to the top six finishers per individual event (10-8-6-4-2-1) and five per relay (10-8-6-4-2).
Each school is permitted four individual (boys and girls separate) entries and one relay team entry per event.
All competitors must only enter a maximum of four events total, including relays. Marks used for seeding must be from the 2021 season.
Entries with no marks are acceptable … each entrant does not need an entry mark.
The top four placers in each event will receive medals. The top boys and girls team champion in each division meet will receive a trophy.
