The Battle Mountain High School softball team rounded out the regular season this past Saturday with a split of a doubleheader against Yerington.
Yerington won the first game 4-3 and Battle Mountain grabbed the nightcap 9-4.
With the split, Battle Mountain finished the regular season at 13-2 and will be the No. 2 seed in the Northern 2A Regional Championships.
The Northern 2A Regional Championships open up on Friday in Lovelock. Host Pershing County takes on Incline on 4 p.m.
The winner of that game plays top seeded Yerington on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
Battle Mountain takes on Silver Stage on Saturday at 10 a.m.
The two teams split a doubleheader earlier in the season.
The championship is set for 3 p.m. on Saturday at Pershing County High School.
The regional tournament is a single elimination format this year,
