The Lowry High School swimming team was back in the pool on Friday, April 30, to take on Sparks in a dual. The Lady Bucks beat the Railroaders 45-37 and the Buckaroo boys cruised to a 77-38 victory.
On the girls side, Paris Collins collected a pair of wins in the 200-individual medley and the 100-yard freestyle.
Mackenzie Swensen won the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke and Zoey Theis took home the top spot in the 500-yard freestyle. Theis was third in the 100-yard backstroke.
On the boys side, Matthew Lizanetz won the 200-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle, while Teammates Caden Montero and Ashton Perry were first and second in the 100-yard breaststroke. In addition, Montero was second in the 50-yard freestyle and Perry was fourth in the event.
Ashton Kalkoske was the runner-up in the 100-yard freestyle and Garrett Jensen was third. Kalkoske also placed second in the 200-yard freestyle.
The 20-yard medley relay of Parry, Montero, Lizanetz and Kalkoske were first, as was the 200-yard freestyle of Kalkoske, Montero, Jensen and Lizanetz.
Lowry was in Fernley on Saturday and results were not available at press time. The Buckaroos travel to Incline on Friday, May 14. The Northern 3A Regional Championships are set for May 21-22 in Carson City.
